  • United States Senator Frank Lautenberg
    Responsible for oversight of relations with organized labor, military, public safety sector and veterans.
    Director of projects affecting veterans’ healthcare, hospitals and benefits e.g. help procure congressional appropriation of $2.5M for the East Orange VAMC to secure a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Machine.
    Helped procure funding for Traumatic Brain Injury study jointly conducted by the Dept. of Defense and the Dept. of Veterans’ Affairs which provided a total of $9M in FY 91 and 92.
    Prioritize Senators’ public schedule in NJ.
    Brief Senator on State and political affairs.
    Liaison with legislative staffs of federal agencies, senior officials of the VA, Public Safety sector and organized labor.
    Coordinated meetings and strategy sessions with parties affected by the Base Realignment Commission (BRAC) in 1991 and 1993.

  • Present
    Employed in the Office of the Hudson County Sheriff as Director/Coordinator of Hudson County Regional 9-1-1 Center. The Center operates 24/7/365.
    Responsibilities include annually budgeting for and managing the daily operation  of an emergency communications department comprised of 7 supervisors and 23 operators.
    The 9-1-1 Center handles all emergency calls for 9 of the 12 municipalities. Bayonne, Jersey City and Secaucus have their own 9-1-1 Centers. However, with the proliferation of wireless cell phone usage it is not uncommon for the County 9-1-1 Center to receive calls from all municipalities as well from outside the County.
